Winter hiking in the Wilder Kaiser region

If one day you don’t fancy skiing, then no problem. The Wilder Kaiser region is nestled between the hilly foothills of the Kitzbühel Alps and the gentle slopes of the Wilder Kaiser. Thanks to its sunny valleys, this region attracts nature-loving winter walkers and romantics with its network of more than 170 km of hiking. Winter hiking in the Wilder Kaiser region puts you in the tracks of where the “Mountain Doctor” film was made.

Walk along glistening snowfields and romantic winter hiking paths through one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the Kaiser mountain area. The Wilder Kaiser region offers some guided hiking tours, and one of the most popular is the “Bergdoktor Winterwanderung”, taking in the places where it was filmed.

If there’s going to be natural snow anywhere, then it will be here in Tyrol, much to the joy of ski tourers and winter hikers.
